Our 501(c)(3) Purpose

Three Pillars of Our Mission

Student Scholarships

Financial scholarships and grants awarded directly to students enrolled in graduate real estate degree programs, funded by member dues, pledges, and sponsorships.

Mentorship & Forums

Structured mentorship and educational forums connecting established industry practitioners with current students entering the field.

Research & Public Education

Conducting and publishing research and public programming that promotes sustainable, ethical, and resilient urban development — open to the broader community.

Independent by Design

A Self-Governing Nonprofit Devoted to Place and Learning

MREAA is an independent Massachusetts nonprofit corporation, organized exclusively for educational and charitable purposes under Section 501(c)(3). We remain financially and operationally independent of any university or external alumni organization — governed by our members, for the mission.

Alumni networking and professional community strengthen the donor, mentor, and volunteer base that makes the mission possible. With regional chapters in Boston, New York, and Los Angeles, our members carry the work into the communities where they build.
